The problem is not the problem....

Writer: Joy CavinJoy Cavin

I have a few clients that do great and stick to healthy eating and are on track with goals until something happens... You know, stress, anger, feeling overwhelmed, lack of sleep... Then poof... You start overeating and making the wrong choices and when asked you say... I dont' know?

It happens.

Why when you have a goal and are on track does this happen? Why if you are working toward health do you get derailed? It can be very discouraging. So here is some of the work you can do...

So what is the problem?

Ask yourself;

The first step is to notice your why..

Why am I actually overeating?

Attach it to the emotion or circumstance.

Then go deeper.

What thoughts am I thinking that trigger this behavior.?

If you are still following me here , our actions are caused by our emotions and our thoughts cause the emotion.

Change your thoughts change the action.

This takes some mindfulness, awareness. It is very easy to just say... "I dont know why?"

You get to choose your thoughts. Be mindful and decide ahead of time about what you want to feel.

If you are into this kind of work and are ready to take control of your actions.. Try Brooke Castillo's podcasts- she is fantastic!!

Or give me a call. I can walk you through changing your thoughts to change your actions- You get to be in control.
