My Confession......

I am a REAL life person, a REAL life mom and I don't have it all together. I know on social media we see so many people who seem to have it all together. Maybe they do? Maybe they don't?

I am here to say.... It's not always perfect. So this week, you get authentic Lucinda. I have been through the same struggles as you...... Sometimes even today.

Here is my confession...

On St. Patrick's Day, I bought my kids a box of Lucky Charms. NOT health food! But it was a treat. They get treats, but only sometimes. So when they do- IT IS A BIG DEAL. Here is a hint, keep treats, treats, it makes it more exciting and special!

I am not a great cook! My husband laughs when I say I am teaching cooking, or a cooking class for Epicure. I regularly burn supper. I almost never follow the recipe. I hate measuring. My smoke alarm goes off almost daily. I am getting better ... sort of.

When I am feeling lazy (or don't plan ahead), we eat popcorn, eggs or cereal for supper. I am not the best at making my weekly plan. I usually have healthy ingredients. I stick to a few regulars. I start out Monday strong, but by Thursday/Friday, I am tired.

Exercise- I sometimes just hang out in my workout room and watch Netflix. I sometimes just lay on the floor, pretend to do yoga and go on my phone. I turn on the treadmill, stand on the sides and watch TV. I skip workouts and I get bored VERY easily. Sometimes I do great with working out, sometimes NOT. That is ok. It is important for mental health to maybe hide out once in a while.

On vacation we ate the buffet for 3 meals a day, 7 days in a row.... I should say we go on vacation maybe every 3 years, and not always to an all inclusive.

1. My kids (and sometimes me) had dessert at almost every meal. It was VACATION!!

2. (This ties into number 1) I gained 10lbs from the end of January until March 1- when we got back from vacation.

I like to say I am maintaining my weight loss and you should know, this is how it looks. Weight fluctuations, and usually a range. So I got back from vacation and buckled down. I will get back to my maintenance range..... But it happens. Self love means I am NOT beating myself up. I am back on track.

Whew!! There you have it. I do OK most days but I really don't have it all together. I coach from that view. I am not perfect. I know what it looks like to make mistakes and to get by. I know how much pressure there is to always have it together.

I am here to tell you, it is NORMAL. You are doing great!

Keep up the good work. Just remember, if I post a picture of food, that is not weird or burnt....that is my highlight reel.

Go be your authentic self!!
