Finding Joy Week 9

Writer: Joy CavinJoy Cavin

Part Coach, Part Therapist

For anyone doing a weight loss journey, you know that it's part physical and a lot mental. In the last week I found my sessions with Lucinda veering off food and onto more deeper topics. I have found that I have highs and lows and at my last session with Lucinda I was having a low :( Her best piece of advice was “work on what is in your control and stop worrying about the things you can't”. This was meant as a piece of advice about my work life, but it became very clear that this was something I had to apply to my home life and to my stress about food and weight. A huge part of this journey is battling your own brain and it's nice to know I've got a coach like Lucinda to keep me focused!

It is so very true. There is so much more to weight loss than just "eating the right food" Your brain needs to be in the game. I cover stress, kids, marriage, sleep, emotions and more with clients that I talk to. A big one is knowing your " why". .... you need to know why you are wanting to drop weight or make healthy changes. You need to see clearly where you are headed to be able to get there. I am here to help walk you through those steps.
