Beginer guided hike Karst Springs- August 15

This is a beautiful beginners hike with some elevation gain, located in Kananaskis Spray Valley. The initial section of the easy and spectacular 1.2 KM (¾ mile) one-way extension trail to Karst Spring initially crosses vibrant wetlands on wooden beam platform over an expansive, and very beautiful area. Abundant, and prehistoric horsetail is thriving and serves to create a vibrant green ground cover.
Following a lengthy section on wooden beam platform through lush and vibrant wetland, begins the dirt trail portion which quickly gains access through mature forest to the edge of roaring white water. Soft easy trail through old growth forest is aromatic and soothing. Elevation gain begins beside the roaring water and continues up through the forest with intermittent views of the falling water. This section of the hike involves some elevation gain.

Included: So sorry that lunch is no longer included. AHS has requested no food sharing.  A experienced guide! A detailed supply list. Information about the trail and history of the area. Bear safety information. I bring the bear spray and first aid kit.

Ladies Day in the Mountains- Aug 16 (Rescheduled from May 24)

Ready for a day away to the mountains? A fantastic day of fresh air and connection with other ladies. Bring your mom, friends, sister or aunt! This hike is suitable for a beginner hiker. Your hiking guide's priority is having a safe, fun and informative tour that connects you more to where you are visiting. Hiking time is between four and six hours, which includes lots of time for lunch and photos. Please note that you must have sturdy footwear and we recommend dressing in layers to adapt to constant weather changes.  Ready for a day away to the mountains? A fantastic day of fresh air and connection with other ladies. You will feel renewed and empowered after this hike! Bring your mom, friends, sister or aunt! This hike is suitable for a beginner hiker but you must be physically fit. We are moving at a steady pace. It’s a climb with some switch backs to a spectacular view. The last 20 minutes includes some steep inclines. We will not be doing the ridge walk ( that makes it much more difficult) We will be returning down the path we came on.

Blackshale Suspension Bridge AND Black Prince lake- Beginner Guided hike August 23

We will be starting with Blackshale suspension bridge, a nice easy stroll through the trees to the bridge 7km with minimal elevation gain. Lots of time for enjoying the views and taking photos. Once we are at the parking lot - Up to you if you want to continue on to Black Price Lake. It is a bit of elevation gain all at once (Going UP) and then a short walk to the lake. 4.8 km with 178m of elevation gain. We will have lunch and relax and enjoy the lake.

Chasing Waterfalls Coral Creek Canyon (Nordegg area) Aug 28

This is a family friendly guided hike! Coral Creek is Just off Highway 11 west of Nordegg.   7.7km round trip with minimal elevation gain. There are sweeping mountain views, canyons and waterfalls. This hike has it ALL! Easy beginner hike that is very possible even if you have never hiked before.

We will be chasing waterfalls on this beginner hike! This is a family friendly guided hike! Crescent Falls just off Highway 11 west of Nordegg. This is a short easy beginner guided hike.

Crescent falls- 5.6 round trip starting at the lookout point. There are sweeping mountain views, canyons and waterfalls. This hike has it ALL! Waterfalls, sweeping canyons, gorgeous vistas!

Chasing waterfalls- Allstones Creek- August 29 (2:30pm start)

A guided hike perfect for the beginner!! Family friendly!!

This is a family friendly guided hike! Allstone Creek is Just off Highway 11 west of Nordegg. This is a FUN creek jumping, splash through water hike. It is a short 4km round trip with minimal elevation gain. YOU must be ok with getting your feet wet, and there is one part where we climb up a rock. Your guide will be there the whole way to offer a helping hand. It is suitable for the adventurous beginner who loves water! After MANY creek criss crossings, we reach a stunning waterfall, where we can rest on a rocky beach. You can swim, eat your supper or just relax and take some photos. Lets go find those waterfalls together!!

Lillian Lake- Intermediate Guided hike-Sept 12

Galatea Creek To Lillian Lake is a 14.6 kilometer hike with 789 m of elevation. Our adventure takes us to a forested trail that leads us over bridges and through a valley to Lillian lake. The last km has some incline and a few steep spots along the way. You will feel refreshed and empowered after this hike. We will be taking lots of rest breaks and there is ALWAYS time for lots of photos. If you are not sure if it is a good fit, send a pm and we can chat to see if it would be the best one for you.

Grotto Canyon Trail- Beginner guided hike Sept 13

Grotto Canyon Trail is a 4.0 kilometer, out and back trail located near Exshaw, Alberta, Canada that features a waterfall. Follow the creek canyon up to 2 waterfalls. A great Easy family hike through a canyon to some amazing waterfalls! Terrain is rocky and uneven (not stroller friendly). Kids and adults will have a great time criss crossing this creek bed. Dont forget to keep an eye out for the ancient pictographs on the canyon walls.

We will be meeting at the trailhead parking lot.

Fall Colors- Larch Tree hike (Intermediate) Chester Lake- Sept 19

Larch trees have risen to celebrity status here in the Canadian Rockies and there's little wonder why. These coniferous trees shed their needles but before tucking in for the winter they turn so vibrantly yellow that they light up the landscape. If you're keen to trek within the fall's golden glow, this hike is for you!! Chester Lake is a year round trail that meanders through forests and meadows leading to the emerald waters of Chester Lake itself. Most of the elevation gain is towards the beginning of the hike before the trail levels off and leads you through beautiful meadows to the lake. Bring your camera, you don't want to miss the explosion of colours this hike has to offer.

We will be taking you on a slow and steady hike into the Rockies. Any level of photography experience welcome. We will be doing an short climb to a gorgeous waterfall, then onto a few glacial lakes where we will stop for lunch. Slow and steady with lots of time to capture the perfect photo. There will be stops along the way for you to capture the amazing views that the Rockies have to offer. Not only do you get an experienced hiking guide but also a local photographer with tips and tricks to help you get the perfect shot..
The Hike: Grassi lakes trail is close to Canmore and is a short but rewarding hike. 4.3 km with 203m of elevation gain. A short potion to go up.

Sunrise over barrier Lake Intermediate Guided hike- September 26

It's a early start but worth it! The view of Kananaskis Valley- Its a photographers dream. (Intermediate Guided Hike)

Prairie View lookout- is a intermediate hike with 6.6 km (one way to the lookout) and 421m of elevation gain. We will be going slow and steady. Meeting at the trail head at 5:00 am
Bring your camera as this will be some amazing views and gorgeous colors you don't want to miss!
This is rated as intermediate and you must be fit and sure footed to attend . We will be in the dark for the beginning of this hike/ Prepare yourself for sweeping views from the top that will make for great photo opportunities, and time to enjoy the journey. Your guide will cover safety, conservation and provide information on the history of the area. Coffee is provided by your guide at the top!
